Manuel Maria Ponce (1882-1948) wrote his "Seis preludios cortos" (six short preludes) in 1947, shortly before he died. They were written for Juanita Chávez, daughter of the composer Carlos Chávez. Juanita was a teenager at the time, and unlike his famous preludes and suites from the 1920s, these were written to be accessible to a beginning guitarist. They are quite short, all under a minute, and were his final compositions for guitar.

This is number 4, Andante espressivo.

Played on a 2021 Estevé Alegria. No editing or post-production tweaking.
