My Minecraft Book of Blocks(The Blockopedia) says blocks of coal can smelt 80 items for 1 block of coal, blocks of dried kelp can smelt 20 items for 1 block, lava can smelt about 10-40, somewhere there.

The pitcher plant is not the only plant to give 2 dye, the peony does the same thing. Also, Frostwalker boots give you cold feet, countering the hot foot campfires give you. After all, they generate cold.
