I got into gravel riding from mountain biking. My first gravel bike was a Specialized Crux. Back in 2015 I converted my cyclocross bike to 1x and put the widest tires available that would fit. This was before the clutch road derailleur was widely available so I used a braze-on chain guide and a narrow wide chainring for chain retention. It also had cantilever brakes, which always kept things interesting on wet days.

Some of these companies soon have to land on earth again😅The money they asking for is just laughable, or cry.

For now I'm using my 12 year old bike and enjoying it.
Thx

sold my 2022 s-works Crux for a good price and got the new Crux 2025... couldn't resist the new SRAM Red XPLR 13sp. Overall fantastic bike, ride quality is absolutely outstanding!

There are some very sarcastic comments here and not warranted. I have a 2022 Crux and it has been amazing. I race gravel as a masters athlete on it and it is one of the best out there. I built up the frame with Enve components and it is 16.5 pounds (non S-Works) with pedals and cages with my road wheel set and maybe a pound heavier with my Enve 3.4 wheel set for gravel. Plus it is a great road bike if you don't race on the road, which I don't. I also have a Trek Supercaliber which is truly amazing. So, yes, these brands are expensive, but the tech is so good. If you have the money-why not?

I'm happy watching those videos because I bought my bike in 2016 before bikeflation.

Crazy price-i bet they're sold out already tho.

I run non UDH SRAM AXS on my Crux and honestly couldn't see the benefit of this change in a non MTB environment. The shifters look super ergonomic tho.

I run previous crux with 12spd and plan to upgrade the brakes and levers to new red pkg.

I'm a bit confused here, if I want to run Shimano on this new bike with the UDH what can I do? Thanks

Does it include 3 years worth of old paint jobs underneath?

Having seen this bike in person, the frame looks old at this point. For $12, 000. Still a great bike, but feels like the frame is due for a major update.

Is it just me or do the new Red levers look exactly like GRX Di2 ?

9.000€ was alredy bonkers. imo a bike with no suspension, no droperpost, just one rear derauler, even with the best imaginable carbon fiber shouldn't cost a half.

it can be a ultimate gravel race bike, however it doesnt have any function to be an adventure bike.

and for gravel racing, if you are that kind of pro you will consider of the aerodymic design.

3000 euros price jump from last gen without any actual upgrade is crazy, yeah i know UDH and that sram red xplr, but that price remains the same and thanks to sram.

doesnt make any sense at all. 13000 euro for this shit? really?

No, not interested in buying overpriced Specialized, Trek, BMC, Colnago... bikes.
