This is the second lesson in the Introduction to Natural Language Processing course, which is offered by LLT Academia.

In this lesson, you will be introduced to the history of Natural Language Processing since 1946. NLP started as a machine translation problem. There were many attempts to solve the language problem, and several techniques were tried. Eventually, computer scientists realized that linguistics is critical in solving the language problem.
