LEGO The Cranky Cavetroll

So...Pippin knocks a skeleton down a well. Next thing you know a cave troll is smashing down the doors and attacking the Fellowship. An overreaction you say? Maybe. But you never saw WHY the troll was so upset, did you? Well, now you know why. Poor troll.

There are also two easter eggs for the highly observant out there! Who can spot Gollum, slinking in the shadows, and who can spot the Star Wars cameo? Comment below!

Planning to. I was actually going to post a tutorial next, but got distracted by a new project. But one IS in the works. As to smooth floor, it is actually made of clay spread out over thick paper. The lego figures stick into it, and it works just as well, if not better, than a lego platform

easy. had a piece of paper folded up and unfolded it :) I had to detatch Gandalf's arms to make him reach wide enough. the skeleton and chain were done in stop motion, but the entire well was built horizontal, even though it looks vertical. They're really just resting on the side of wall.

So it seems that once again the enemies in lotr were misunderstood. Great job at eliminating light flicker and giving the set an authentic lotr look. Happy birthday cave troll!
