The moment it settled in completely for me that this kind of man doesn't actually care about the woman outside of his investment in her is when I lost all my desire to be so called cherished or even protected by any of them. Some people think they can guilt women into changing ourselves for them because we are afraid of being "alone" or by ourselves.
