My Record KDP Self Publishing and YouTube Income - January 2021

January 2021 has been an incredibly surprising month in terms of KDP Earnings and YouTube income. Normally, January is a slower month after the increased sales during December and the holiday period. However, this year sales of KDP no content and low content books has actually increased as has the views on this YouTube channel and, therefore, online income. In this video I break down my earnings from multiple sources and outline the importance of having multiple streams of online income in case one stream gets shut down for whatever reason. Also, a big chunk of this total amount is passive income which means you can still keep earning money long after you've put the work in. Yeah basic idea is to reinvest by the sales money to run ads and to increase the sales further. You don't start with ads at all. This is one of the best business right now. Just work hard in the right direction, have patience.
Approach this as a long term business and not some get rich scheme.

Interesting to see January was so good for you Paul. It dipped against December for me but was just above September 2020 so encouraging. February (so far) has been dismal but I now feel a bit more encouraged to get some more content up on KDP and work on some parallel income streams.

Congratulations Paul - really glad KDP is working for you. I have two niche martial arts books on KDP, about to add a third. What do you think about doing your own audio books? Got twenty fiction titles on KDP too, but as you say most sales come from two or three titles. I am focussing on marketing more these days....there's only so much I can ask book subcribers to do, and giveaways seem to attract Kindle fans but not book fans. I have KDP / Publisher Rocket but need to implement it more (according to one of your other videos). Hope your Feb 21 sales do even better. I'm no longer waiting on whether or not I get a third BookBub deal - they are wonderful but perhaps not the game changer they used to be! Cheers, john

Great job Cap'n! I've been using your keyword research process and have more keywords than I know what to do with. I also bought all your Gumroad keywords, so thank you for that. Have you checked out Snagit by Camtasia? It is a screen capture tool, but the cool thing is it uses OCR tech to take the words from your image and you can copy paste them to any spreadsheet. It has cut down my research time a huge amount since I don't have to jot down every keyword that AMZ Suggestion Expander lists.
