Zach the type of person to buy a sim racing setup and use it just to play a lawn mowing game

That’s awesome, I just came back to WoW since 2014. Love what they’ve done

WoW gamer here, running the game in 1440p ultra settings with a 2070 super and i think i have a ryzen 3600. The only time there is performance issues is if you have ray tracing on (it doesnt do almost anything in WOW at least) and just in the big city youll see some fps drop sometimes. But in actual gameplay its butter smooth

Woah chillax man, a 4060??!
You dont need much when it comes to GPU department. Thats still high end man. Think ultra budget

Tbh, my Eee PC from back in the day was good enough and even mist of pandaria ran at 60fps on medium settings back then, that thing ran Windows XP and like 512mb of ram

His GPU should be more than enough. He just need to upgrade the CPU

Me being an old school WoW player that quit playing after Mists of Pandora released, the idea it needs any type of modern hardware seems absurd.

Now that you have a pure performance build list and a creator build list, you need an aesthetic build list as well.

A low end PC from 15 years ago runs wow without problem tbh

I'd imagine you probably play WOW on a mini itx pretty comfortably

My i7 10700f, 2070 Super, and 32 gb DDR4 run it very well in 1080p maxxed settings. Lowest I see is around 60-70 fps in crowded cities but mostly still above 144 in the world

If you upgrade the CPU you should probably get a X3D version as WoW is an open world game and greatly benefits from the 96MB L3 cache.

That smile when he started talking about WoW

This also applies to FFXIV: ARR to some extent

Zach your $750 creator pc has the prices for specific components missmatched, for example you list $380 for the R7 5700X and $850 for the RTX 4060

I play on a 10 year old Asus. Still going laggy in major cities at times that's fine can still manage after a few minutes in the area. Lol

Wow is insanely demanding game, especially for a CPU.
My R5 7500F + RX 7800 XT is struggling.
