What a machine !
Although I can't help thinking those wings look slightly ridiculous... must be my age 😊

I had one out around Ryedale for a few hours. Loved it but came to the same conclusion. I’d end up either dead or in court. The brakes, the handling, the gearbox and shifter, everything, superb. Took me right back to my NC30 days, it squeezes the hooligan out of you.

How about an engine configuration comparison, V4 versus V2 versus inline 4 and triple? Listing the pros and cons of each. Benefits of HP versus Torque, we all know that HP isn’t the be all and end all its the overall combination of a bike’s characteristics that make it the best choice. Looking forward to what you can put together 👍

Great review, best bike out there with out a doubt, I’ve been on one and it was amazing people going on about the vibrations through the bars, you hardly feel anything and you don’t even think about it because your loving the bike too much.. wow what a bike!!

Great review as usual.
My M1000R arrives this week so looking forward to it.
Had a V4 Streetfighter, loved it but fuel range was ridiculous. Ran out 3 times so sold it and got the V2 Streetfighter.
Absolutely brilliant bike but no Ducati dealers in my area, service due and not long left on the warranty so getting my first Bmw.
I heard the suspension was hard but that you can go into the settings and change the damping etc.
Will soon find out.
One thing, insurance is silly on these for some reason. Nearly double what my V4 was and I’m 64 !
Hope I can hang onto it !

Great review! You forgot to say how small & nimble the bike feels, almost like a 600 bike. I absolutely in love with this bike.

I put my name down for one the minute they announced it, I've been waiting for years for someone to build a genuine full fat sportsbike with flat bars and now I have one in the garage and i couldn't be happier, most exciting bike I've ever owned!
Personally I like the tyres, the front is rock solid and I like a bit of movement from the rear to let me know im getting near the limit, horses for courses I guess! Great review as always Chopsy!
P.S. Im fairly certain the wings are a novelty gimmick, they do nothing to keep the wheel down at any speed as far as I can tell, especially in race mode with the 1:1 throttle map selected 😂

Lovely bike!
You said you wanted the Diavel so maybe compare this bike (BMW1000R) and the Diavel.
That way you can make your mind up lol 😆. Either way it'd be a cracking video with the comparison between the 2 bikes.
See you on your next adventure ✌️ 🤙 🤟

You certainly ride your test bikes properly, Chopsy. Lovely bike but the one you had before would be enough for me. This one has a remarkably tractable engine. Nice dash.

You had me thinking about a Diavel v4 a few days ago, now this....and it's 'only' £19k odd !! Great video Chopsy 👍

Excellent vid, Chops 😊

I'm still not seeing wings on bikes as something I could live with - they look atrocious to my eyes. The Dremel would come out as soon as I got it home 😂

Ducati 1198 for me was the most aggressive bike I've ridden on the road. In the end I sold it as I wasn't ready to die!

Agree on the tyres. They don't feel grippy at all and they wear out so damn fast. I switched to Michellin Road 6's and they instantly feel grippy even when cold and already outlasted the Bridgestones by double and aren't even squaring yet.

On the track that motor is absolutely amazing (in the S1000RR), I do worry about having that motor on the street. When I finished a weekend at the track on the RR I recall thinking "there's no way I'd buy one for the street... I'd never be able to use it". But having the front come up on the front straight well into triple digits... mind bending.

I would like to see a head to head vs. the SFv4s... especially handling and braking since the Duc uses the premium Ohlins/Brembo kit.

I tested the S one of these straight after testing the RR and found it more uncomfortable than the RR. Probably just me but those handlebars are just at position where it puts more strain on your back versus the full sportsbike position. Depends on the rider I guess. Great test Chopsy.

Love it. Currently have the s1000r sport and this would be my ideal upgrade. More of this one please Chopsy 👍
