The problem is, the narcissist is a great actor and can fool anybody into thinking how awsome they are. I was fooled.

Physical looks are deceiving, and to be really honest, seeing him around other ppl is just as equally deceptive. My ex had the six pack, nice smile, calm demeanor, seemed intelligent, had the degree, nice job etc etc....these were the carrots that he dangledto get a womens attention but didn't have the emotional maturity, connection, intimacy, or healthy communication to keep the relationship stable or nurished, it was just a superficial fantasy that was being there were the huge behind the door red flags that no one else knew about, because I've seen him around his friends, my family strangers, ppl at church etc and that's how they get fooled into believing he's a stand up guy, and my concerns of abuse went unheard and were down played because the narc is not who we think they are. They will show up a completely different person when you are the victim.

We were young we fell in love. Yes he was a narcissist.
We had children and provided but then we were discarded as he moved on to another supply. Then I became frontline and provided by working hard. Now retired and still fiercely independent!

The problem I see is that, as my old couples' therapist said (His specialty being how men show up in relationship), there are nowhere near enough emotionally competent men for all of the women. So, waiting to find one equals either celibacy or inappropriate partners. Think how many people don't find a good long term relationship until their 40's. Heartbreak isn't fun, but you can turn it into a lesson, and it's better than decades of celibacy, for many.

All this good stuff that was never discussed as a kid and should be. Hell I realized in hindsight’s that I should have met my ex’s parents much much earlier cause then I probably never would have continued to marriage-truly.

Fascinating topic and complex. Women also select aggressive men because that ensures the survival of their offspring. That's sort of hardwired in the biology, not a judgement.

I disagree with this. Women want safety and security in a male partner (physical, emotional, spiritual and financial). Men that only care about women’s external attributes don’t make a woman feel secure or safe, because this would mean she’s completely interchangeable — especially as she gets pregnant and/or her body changes. This clip is an infantile simplification of men and women’s preferences.

Research shows that men are most attracted to a woman’s masculine qualities in a long term partner (someone they feel safe and secure with) while women are most attracted to a man’s feminine qualities (nurturing, loving traits). Only for one-night stands are men mostly attracted to women’s feminine qualities and women to men’s masculine qualities. Evolution supports balanced feminine and masculine characteristics ☯️ in both partners.

Richard, this is not all women. A good woman is not impressed by evil no matter what. Remember your video wherein you very impressively outed powerful people as narcissistic psychopaths. Until you figure out that you need to evaluate a woman by things other than her looks, you will keep falling prey to narcissists. This is a topic of therapy for you the next time you go to therapy.

Yes, it's rather disappointing how people you once thought were complex and intellectual become smitten with an Emily Ratajkowski look-a-like who has a caboose they can bounce quarters off of but with no depth of soul. The superficial deserve each other. The spiritual are better off seeking out someone whose intrigue extends beyond sexual prowess into the eternal aspects of their identity. Ergo, not all narcissistic abuse survivors are truly healed. They simply replace their addiction with another addiction. Those who have genuinely healed will demonstrate it through their upgraded choices and actions over words. They transcend a primal interest only in the physical, regardless of gender. They would find themselves bored with the quarter bouncing once they realized the conversations were often one-way, vapid and left them feeling more alone than when they were actually alone. Healing just isn't something we all finish but when you do, your interests become more interesting and satisfy your soul in a way a the physical never could.

to be honest almost everyone i encountered is the same no matter the decernment its because of what ones carry and who they are they attack good and bad and evil people and it has never been any different in the past 2000 years ago the people of GOD went trough it just like the few of us, in the end we have no friends family or even a lover we end up being alone for the purpose of our life
