LiveCopter 3 pilot: Oroville Spillway progress ‘simply amazing’
Показать описание
LiveCopter 3 pilot Dave Allen talks about the progress made on the Oroville Dam Spillway since parts of it collapsed earlier this year. Department of Water Resources officials said they reached a "milestone" Wednesday in the reconstruction of the collapsed Oroville Dam spillway. Phase 1 of the spillway construction was completed by DWR's self-imposed deadline of Wednesday, less than nine months after a large hole eroded in the structure of the 3,000-foot-long spillway that releases water from Lake Oroville. With the completion of Phase 1, which has rebuilt and strengthened 2,270 feet of the chute, the spillway is capable of handling flows from the lake of up to 100,000 cubic feet per second.
