Transforming White Gold to Yellow Gold! #shorts

Показать описание
Sometimes you're in a rush and need a quick change in style and with this method, you can change the color of your gold in either one minute, or two minutes, depending on the richness you want in color (all supplies necessary, of course). We changed white gold to yellow gold, and yellow gold to white gold, just to show you how effective this process is. Many jewelers would throw this in their shop to turn a quick profit but since we do business the right way, we melted the chains down and gave it back to the people roaming New York City. Stay tuned to our videos to stay up to date so you don't miss out on your chance to be a winner! Shop gold, white and yellow, on TraxNYC.com or visit our store at 64 W 47th Street.

*Fun Fact:* This kind of work was all the rage during the 1800’s. It was in part sparked by Queen Victoria’s husband Prince Albert who witnessed a real rose turned to gold by dipping it into a chemical solution which coated the rose, permanently changing its outer layer. This process is referred to as “electroforming” and involves dropping a dried rose into an electrically conductive material and attached to a battery. A solution of precious metal is prepared, typically gold, after which the rose is left to sit within the solution for a few moments. The rose attracts metal particulate within the solution because of its coating. Albert was so impressed with this technology that it helped spur a great “worlds fair” kind of exhibition entitled the Great Exhibition of the Works of Industry of All Nations in 1851 which cost £335, 742 to produce which equates to £46, 482, 000 as of 2019 when accounting for inflation

Cool eh?

An electroplated chain isn't "tampered" at all. Its simply a plating. An the longer you plate something the color changes. If you plate a chain in yellow to long you'll get an ugly orange color. If you plate in a white to long you'll get a dark gray color. Your only suppose to plate for a minute or 2. That's about it. If it's a chain that has many different links that are catching on the original plating.

My favorite part about all your videos is how informative they are, some people get lost in him throwing money but there’s lots and lots of useful information to take from what he says

I hope to have one of my precious Australian opals set by you one day. I've cut almost 700 stones + all Australian. A few Mexican fore opal's. I cut them with my ghetto flat lap. Then hand shape/hand polish from 400 grit to 5, 000 grit pads. And finally give them a finish polish using Cerium Oxide with my Dremel. I taught myself how to cut on YouTube. I am currently building a 3 wheel and polisher on the side cabbing machine from the 1950s /60s called a beacon star. I'm from Boston Massachusetts and currently reside in Rhode Island. I am disabled and I cut when my body lets me. But nothing will stop me from doing something I love and enjoy. Much love Trax NYC from Patrick McGovern
