FAQ: How does Orange Oil work to kill drywood termites?

HELP!!!!
I was told by Hulett pest control inspector that our termites are drywood and we have had coverage since 1977 BUT only for subterranean. Convenient huh? We've taken over a 60 year old 1500sq ft house in the family and the resident was an extreme hoarder with dementia. My elderly mom is the owner and the tenant was a terminally ill family member who passed away. At one time it was a show stopper! A really beautiful home. However due to the renter's neglect over 25 years... We weren't able to closely monitor the situation due to distance. There has been extraordinary damage in a small period of time of various things all over including some termite damage. It's seen but the inspector says from what he can see it's not horrible or extreme at this point. We are doing all the work ourselves because we don't have the funds for a contractor, vendors or professional services not covered with pest control and the house is unusually built and can't be tented.

It has a shallow attic that is only 30" high at the peak where the access is so we can't crawl very far passed the entrance. Is it safe to use orange oil in a stream sprayer to shoot it deeply across the beams. Will it harm wiring or insulation? The insulation covers some of the wood framing and trusses. Will it still deter pests and termites because of the smell?

When you inject with orange oil can you inject anywhere and it will travel through the entire 7 or 8 foot long stud and into the galleries? Or do you need to drill into the galleries to make sure the orange oil gets in to the galleries?

Wouldn't the smell of orange attract other types of ants?
