Biden Praises Nancy Pelosi At EMILY’s List Gala

President Joe Biden honored former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi at this year's EMILY’s List gala on Tuesday, calling her ‘one of the most consequential speakers in the history of the U.S.’

In his roughly 6-minute-long speech, the president named some of Pelosi’s achievements including key legislation she passed during her tenure in office such as the Affordable Care Act. He also praised Pelosi for her response to the Jan 6 Capitol attack and commended her as a defender of women’s rights.

EMILY’s List is an advocacy group that supports women candidates who are abortion-rights advocates.
