I have had many many cats in my 61 years....they are all different to be sure. However all of my cats have been very affectionate with me throughout the years. What I've found in the many years that I've rescued stray cats is that once you've bonded with your feline and have established ways to positively communicate with them, it's possible (although not universally so) to get them to accept human ways of showing affection. Like the video says, not every cat will want to be hugged and kissed. But once you know your kitty and understand their behavior, you might possibly be able to teach them how you'd shower them with affection.
The video also says to learn about cat body language. Here are a few tips in that regard: first, when a cat presses the top of their head against your face that is the cat version of a hug. When they blink slowly at you, that's a cat version of a kiss. If you do these things to your cat while speaking affectionately to them and add the human version of these (*DO NOT squeeze your cat into a bear hug right off the bat--they won't like it!!*), that'll go a long way towards getting your kitty to accept the human versions of such. Just remember to begin gingerly, and always be patient with your kitty! 😺😉

When I first got my cat Fluffy, He was afraid of everything, But we gave him so much love that now he loves affection, He LOVES kisses, All you really need to do is just say his name and he's happy, I can't imagine life without my purr ball

When I picked up my rescue cat, about 6 months old, a beautiful black cat that grew up to be about 20 lb and 10 years old now. He hugged me so hard around my neck it was adorable and he was rubbing his nose across my nose that ended up being a thing with us I call it a kitty kiss he loves to be kissed on top of the head and across your nose it's too cute it's easily the most lovable cat I've ever had and I'm glad cuz he's 20 lb of solid muscle his name is Ziggy I never do it for long I always disengage first he easily gets over-stimulated I might scratch but I got so good at predicting him it's no problem anymore

One of my five little friends, a black, stumpy, chunky big ol' boy, absolutely adores any and all affection. He loves it when you ruffle up the fur on the back of his head and neck, and give him pats on his flank, but he also likes getting kisses.
