Why do people watch Big Boss?

Let's see..Violence is associated with an adrenaline spike, which is exciting. Which means to watch others engage in violence is entertaining. This is not new. Since the time of Gladiators which eventually evolved into modern wrestling and MMA, people like to watch others fight.What makes Big Boss unique is that the violence is largely verbal, emotional, dramatised, and 'in reality'.You are (almost) tricked into thinking you're getting a sneak peek into someone's house.

There is a voyeur inside everyone, and reality shows play on that instinct.And of course, when you're sneak-watching someone who is a celebrity, the dopamine kick is even higher.So neuroscientifically speaking, excellent work on part of the show in hitting all the right spots for entertainment. As someone who hopes the best for humanity, let's do better.
