Lay Lady Lay is a song written and sung by Bob Dylan and released in July 1969. The track was originally written for the 1969 film Midnight Cowboy, but Dylan was unable to finish the track in time for the film's production deadline. But the song did very well in the US charts and in the U.K. This great song has become a standard and has been covered by numerous bands and artists over the years. I have loved this song since it's release, and really like it's lows and highs.
