Diversification within a sector is a great lesson to take from this investor.

I must've heard him say CRV at least 10 times... dude it's CVR... just a pet peeve of mine when people say the wrong thing at least 3 times, 2 times or less, I can handle. Three times is my cut off line number, after that I can't focus on anything else I hear, unless, the mistake has been corrected.

Great content btw! I like your style, concise and straight to the point. I must've watched almost all of your videos.

I love when you share these portfolios. Please show more and more hedge funds. I also would like to know what’s a good portfolio with ETFs instead of individual stocks.

I basically dislike almost everything, and rarely ever comment on youtube videos. That being said, I really like your videos. You present factual information, and then give your own perspective- as opposed to just presenting your opinion alone. Great work, man. Subscribed. What do you think about AMZN?

I don't get it.. It seems his portfolio has been losing money since 2015?

Good video Michael. I'm switching to 100% quant investing, purely because of corporate raiders like Ichan. After studying by O'Shaughnessy and Carlisle, I fully agree with their comments around not trying to be fancy like Buffett, and just stick to what has been proven: Buy Cheap. Even better, Cheap + VERY Unpopular, because mean reversion will pull down the darlings and push up the "garbage".

By buying Cheap + VERY Unpopular, we're effectively on the same gravy train as corporate raiders. It's a lot different to Buffett's buy and hold for 10 years - this is a buy and rebalance every year strategy - I think for small time investors and retail investors, this will yield much better returns over the long run.

Hi Michael! I wanted to ask you something, but since I am not able to join your discord sessions (due to time-difference: I am from Europe), I wanted to do it here if you don't mind :) What do you think of my investment strategy? I use screeners to screen for companies that meet certain quantitative-value criteria (ttm earnings yield, low p/b, 6-month price-momentum, etc.). This eliminates the possibility of any biases I may have against certain companies or sectors If I would not use a screener and just look into random companies. Afterwards, I rank my results and only pick the best ones (in the first quintile - best 20%). Only after this step, I start to look into the companies and look at their financials, in order to eliminate any red flags (for example if EPS is higher than operating cash flow per share). The point with this investment approach is that I do not have to believe in a company, I just value it according to certain value-, quality- and momentum-metrics that have proved to work in the past in achieving alpha. I try to end up with a maximum of 10-20 companies in my portfolio. In my opinion, this is like a more modern value-investing approach, where I can be sure to exclude all my feelings for certain companies and just look at the numbers. Have a good day, love your videos ;)

I love seeing others portfolios. Especially when you show the pie charts of allocation

It’s all about portfolio allocation

During an interview with Howard Marks bloomberg showed that his portfolio was 70% in credit markets and only 30% in stocks. There’s another vid where he says there’s a lot of volatility in credit, does that imply that credit markets have large fluctuations in price similar to the vix being high during big moves in equities? How exactly does one invest in credit markets and what are some examples besides bonds and securitized debt?

what is your take on Newell brands. are you adding shares or has your thesis changed now they are projecting lower proceeds from selling off non-core brands? From my perspective it seems they are in a tough spot negotioiating as potential buyers know they really need to sell to deleverage. How achievable is 9 billion instead 10 billion?
