The most difficult heroes every role would always good every meta: tank (khufra, akai), fighter (chou), assassin (ling, gusion, hayabusa, fanny), mage (kagura), marksman (claude), support (Mathilda). The developer would always balancing them everytime because that heroes is challenged player to be better at games. The harder heroes to play, the better scaling they got.

A good yin can counter gusion ;)
Also flameshot can stop him from dealing any damage to you if you time it right, ability's like melissa's ult also does that

But overall a good gusion can clutch mostly any situation

Ruby as well, in my opinion at least, she has been balanced for so long now and despite the new meta she still packs so much of a fight, I'm a tank Ruby player, the fact she dash after every skill is very helpful! So is the fact that she can stun with her second and her skills usually take just 3 cool down for skill 1 and 2 and 10 in her ult! Her ult also gathers a lot of enemies! Pair her ult with flicker and you can dive to the tower, use your ult and flicker away from the tower once you pulled enemies using your ult!

Never really saw a lot of gusion in mythic 1-Glory, unless they're super confident in their skill. The same thing can't be said with chou, his skill set, passive, and utility is super viable no matter what, even mediocre chou player using basic combos can be super useful, mediocre gusion player can only take you so far.
