In Part 10 of this series Rob Cohee discusses how to create an exploded view of an assembly for the purposes of creating drawing views. This high level overview of the Animation Workspace focuses on the transform component command and how to control your selection sets for a quick and easy exploded view of your model. It's our first venture into the drawings workspace as well so enjoy.

Very good. I had no idea that was so easy. I may have to make use of it now to jazz up my stuff!

Great video. I'd not really stepped into the animation workspace previously, but decided to take it for a test drive after watching this. The idea of linked animations used as work instructions is pretty compelling, but was a little bummed to find that there is no way to drive movements based on CAD geometry (move to point, for instance) and that design parameters are unavailable in the animation workspace. Great video though, and I think seeing the workspace in use, and that it's functionality packs a decent complexity:value proposition, means i'll probably be more inclined to jump in down the line.

Good day Mr. Cohee, Thank you so much for your efford. Edit in design is very usefull function. I did go over the design step by step and did every step as you have shown. At the end drawing design from animation I had a problem. Drawing design with style "visible edges" was ok, but when I chose type of style “shaded” there were atleast four of each main bodies. Would you please inform me what can couse that problem. I have check every step few times I found nothing wrong in compare with your design. At the end I break links in contexts and solve the problem but I think it is not the solution. All the best.
