I'd say this is a beautiful tribute for Chester, ever since he's been gone, each song hits harder than ever for me

I love singing this song, thanks for asking me to be a part of this!

I feel like Easier To Run is one of Linkin Park's lesser known songs. Especially when conpared to Breaking The Habit and In The End. It's pretty nice to see a cover of this song!

One of the most underrated LP songs ever man. Glad to see this song get some love. And obviously this song hits much harder ever since 2017. RIP Chester

Holy shit, you both killed it.

As an LP fan since early teens when Hybrid Theory dropped, I love this.

20/10

I hope, wherever Chester is, he can see and hear amazing covers like this, and know what he meant to us all.

Dude, no joke, I'd recommend sending this to the guys at Linkin Park. I think you could make beautiful music with them, and I think they'd love to do it.

Jesus Christ this song is amazing and I haven’t even listened to the whole thing yet…

I have faith in Mr. Young

I always get emotional when a great Linkin Park cover hits the internet, but this... This just hits different.

This brings me back to 7th grade, having all of Linkin Parks music on repeat in my ear all day 🧡

I've always loved this song ever since back then, it's one of their "not as popular songs", but it hits like a truck just like all the others. Hearing you two collabing is fantastic, great job! <3

I forgot to comment this earlier:
I was wondering when Jonathan would make a cover of this song when I searched for a cover of it yesterday.
To my surprise 7 hours later this song appeared in my search for song covers for "Easier to run"
I didn't think I would also be blessed with a collab as well.
I think Jonathan and Anthony Vincent did a wonderful job with what they did!🤘

It's easier to run
Replacing this pain with something numb
It's so much easier to go
Than face all this pain here all alone

Something has been taken from deep inside of me
A secret I've kept locked away
No one can ever see
Wounds so deep they never show
They never go away
Like moving pictures in my head
For years and years they've played

If I could change I would take back the pain I would
Retrace every wrong move that I made I would
If I could stand up and take the blame I would
If I could take all the shame to the grave I would
If I could change I would take back the pain I would
Retrace every wrong move that I made I would
If I could stand up and take the blame I would
I would take all the shame to the grave

It's easier to run
Replacing this pain with something numb
It's so much easier to go
Than face all this pain here all alone

Sometimes I remember the darkness of my past
Bringing back these memories I wish I didn't have
Sometimes I think of letting go and never looking back
And never moving forward so there'd never be a past

If I could change I would take back the pain I would
Retrace every wrong move that I made I would
If I could stand up and take the blame I would
If I could take all the shame to the grave I would
If I could change I would take back the pain I would
Retrace every wrong move that I made I would
If I could stand up and take the blame I would
I would take all the shame to the grave

Just washing it aside
All of the helplessness inside
Pretending I don't feel misplaced
Is so much simpler than change

It's easier to run
Replacing this pain with something numb
It's so much easier to go
Than face all this pain here all alone

It's easier to run

If I could change I would take back the pain I would
Retrace every wrong move that I made

It's easier to go

If I could change I would take back the pain I would
Retrace every wrong move that I made I would
If I could stand up and take the blame I would
I would take all the shame to the grave

*Holy cow, this was freaking AWESOME.* The way you alternated and split things in terms of both singer and style was SO clever (That is, you both switched back and forth between singers and switched back and forth between which style a given singer would use, sometimes having things overlap like in that gradual transition Jonathan did from rap to rock).

Beautifully, beautifully done, gentlemen!

And enjoying the lyrics here, I'm sure this song can speak to so many people with any variety and combo of backgrounds and issues—struggles with addiction, mental health, grief, et cetera. I can definitely relate to this some myself. I've been through extended periods in my life where I had to constantly keep myself actively distracted because otherwise I would fall into these painful, miserable thought spirals.

Being able to simply sit with yourself and your own thoughts is the kind of thing you don't even recognize as an ability until that ability is taken away.

And on a less personal but still interesting note for me, I'm also thinking of fictional stuff here. I've been reading (and also writing) quite a bit of fan-written material in recent months centered around Batman and his family. And the lyrics to this song make me think of the period where Bruce became lost in his grief after the death of his second son, Jason. Already something of a workaholic, he became even more consumed my his mission as Batman than before, and began both being reckless with how own health and safety and being especially brutal towards the criminals he apprehended. All because of his inability to cope well with the devastating grief of losing a child. The fact that he pushed away those who tried to help him certainly didn't help matters any.…
