For those who dont understand:

In Georgia, a country located between Asia and Europe, a human trafficking network operating a "human egg farm" was uncovered. This operation exploited more than 100 Thai women, who were deceived with false offers of work as surrogate mothers. Upon arrival in Georgia, their eggs were extracted without their consent and without compensation, and sold on the black market for in vitro fertilization. The victims were subjected to hormonal injections to stimulate egg production and, under anesthesia, their eggs were extracted monthly. They were treated like cattle, living in inhumane conditions and without freedom of movement. Those who tried to escape were required to pay a sum of money to their captors. The case came to light when one of the victims managed to escape after paying a ransom and returned to Thailand in September 2024. She informed the authorities about the situation of other women still trapped. This led to an international collaboration between Thailand and Georgia, with the help of Interpol, resulting in the rescue of three women on January 30, 2025.

The argument comparing this to chicken farms is actually insane 💀
1. Humans dont shit eggs like chickens do. We are mammals, the egg doesnt leave the body until its been fertilized for about 9 months. These women went through painful procedures to extract the eggs (without anesthetici believe, which is usually used in fertility clinics because of the pain it causes)
2. They arent eating the eggs. They were being sold on the black market to be used in IVF, which is a lab-done method of reproduction
3. Neither human or chicken eggs are alive until they have been fertilized. Leave a female human or female chicken alone with all the eggs they want, none will ever grow without fertility except in extremely rare cases. If you left hens alone with their eggs, theyd just rot, so theres no cost in eating them.
