This is gonna sound strange but they way you shot this and the delicacy and preciseness of your hand movements, perfectly rocking the plate to get the solution back in the bottle or removing the lens cap gently in combination with the subtle music make this video strangely relaxing and beautiful. The video is art filming art. Great job.

I really enjoy seeing the latter process for developing photographs in and around the 1800's. Did not know the process has so many technical steps that required patience and awareness of the chemicals being used to complete an image. The final result was very defining.

This is something on "The things I must do before I die" list.

Clearest process video I found so far.

Quite nice that you found some actual 19th-century items to use here: besides the camera, plate holder and ground glass, you also have the silver bath enclosure, the oil lamp, and even the containers for collodion and for varnish

This really gives a new meaning to 'taking a photo'. It's so breathtaking. i am a photographer myself and this is amazing. It really open my eyes to a new world of photography

You heat the plate to dry it after the wash. It is also necessary to heat the plate before putting on the sandarac varnish.

My goodness that is beautiful. Nothing like developing your photos. I miss the time I had to do it. If I could I'd love to have a shot at tintype.

Stunning! My mouth was wide open in awe when the image was developed. This reminded why I love photography. I would love to make one of these!

The resolution of a tintype is absolutely amazing. It's damn near real life HD, isn't it?

Very helpful to someone like me who is just about to start learning this. I have a big studio, with lots of continuous light and a nice darkroom beside it so It I am looking forward to making my own tin and ambro types.
