Going forward even before this shocking defeat, Hansi Flick is in such a difficult position in regards to the way that Lamine Yamal’s workload is managed. It’s well documented that he’s a generational talent when at his age, he’s in the conversation for being the best player in the world and is getting Ballon Dor shouts and he’s also Barcelona’s best player, but have they not learned anything from their past mistakes and as we all know, they’re not very good when it comes to managing the development of their young players in terms of how much they play them. Yamal started on the bench he came on scored a wonderful goal, but Barca lost: “why is he not starting, Flick made a mistake in not playing him from the start, if he played, they would’ve won, never bench him again etc”, if he started that game and got injured: “they overplayed another youngster, he should’ve never been on the pitch”.

Due to the fact that he’s so good and brings so much to their attack, it’s difficult to leave him on the bench knowing full well that without him their attack isn’t as creative and direct when he isn’t on the pitch as unless Raphinha was on the right wing, in that regard he’s so irreplaceable and it’s crazy to even say that about a 17 year old which is a testament to how impactful he is for Barcelona, at the same time, since he’s a superstar in the making and it’s such a long season where they’re playing so many games and he’s also very important for his national team as well not just his club, we don’t want to see another Pedri situation with Yamal where he’s so important to the team and even when he’s burned out of fatigued, he’ll never rest and regardless of his fitness and form, he’ll play every minute of every game.

That Inaki Pena is overrated. Scezesny would be our first choice. Ferran, Martin and Dominguez Torre aren't rough and they ain't good. Torre as a backup.
