I appreciate your videos. All well done. I have this pen as well, but have not inked up. Thanks for taking us for the ride. All the best and holiday greetings

I really enjoy this M2 pen. I use EF nibs and enjoy the feedback. The section is just right for my hand. I would have liked to have seen how you used the micro mesh. I consider myself new to the fountain pen world and am always looking for ways to improve my skills.

Thank you for the review. I notice you tend to hold your pen writing using the left tine predominantly (this is not a criticism in any way please don't take it that way) i wondered if left oblique nibs would suit your writing style and if you have tried those type of nibs?
Again please don't take this as a criticism it was not meant to offend in anyway everyone write differently . I love your reviews .

I put a #5 1.1mm Chinese stub with Sublime & it is great. I am not an EF fan. Don't think the original nib was unusable but the 1.1 is divine. & shades great with Sublime.

I think each pen is different and has its own character. Yeah this nib certainly has a lot of feedback, but honestly I got used to it really quickly. Out of the box I wrote a 200 page script with it and it was only a couple pages in that I decided I love my M2. And I tend to prefer broad and very smooth nibs like my Faber-Castell Ambition Broad. There's no comparison to the smoothness, but that doesn't affect the "fun" of the pen to me.

I got a similar experience with the M2 EF nib. Way too much feedback, and even a little scratchy. I adjusted and opened the tines, which helped a little. It now writes a little wetter, but still way too much feedback for my liking. It writes smoother in reverse! I was very disappointed, since this pen was praised by many specifically for the EF nib. Makes me reluctant to try out more Moonmans.

I unreservedly love this pen. I do like EF nibs. They’re fabulous for sketching. I like writing wth them as well. I can get great detail in both my writing and sketching. In fact, I’ve ordered more pens so I can play with different inks simultaneously!

I also have one of these inked with Franklin Christoph Sweet Maroon. It’s a great combo. The nib on mine was good. But, I think mine came with a spare stub nib and I swapped it to get more shading from the ink.

Excellent review. I'll have to check out any others you may have. Subscribed and liked.

I am also not fond of the EF nib, although mine writes considerably better than yours did out of the box. And I would be curious to know what nib would be suitable in the M2. I think a stub nib would be fantastic.

Yo I was literally wondering about that pen and ink combo today

I really like my M2, kinda got used to the xf nib which is. As you say, really really feedbacky - I have seen the on ebay advertised with a .5mm nib as well... maybe that would be a nicer experience.

I put a medium Goulet nib on mine and inked it up with Pilot Iroshizuku Tsutsuji - looks and writes great!

I hate the fact that this does not have a clip. How the hell am I supposed to keep this on my shirt .

I noticed you didn’t use silicone grease when you put this pen back together after you’d inked it: would it do any harm to use grease on this pen anyway?(better safe than sorry)

You need a better desk. I use the Moonman M2 for sketching with various nibs because they are very simple to change. This is a fantastic pen for urban sketching and IT HOLDS A LOT OF HIGGINS BLACK MAGIC INK. Want to write a journal or impress friends buy another pen. This is a tool not a gadget or display piece, been using mine everyday for many years, lots of writing notes and serious sketching. I have numerous pens from Jinhao to Parker Paris, I sketch with my Moonman M2 every Easy to clean and very reliable, the acrylic body does not yellow, crack or

Put a pilot metropolitan medium on there. Or you can order spare Wing Sung 698 fine/medium nibs from eBay

These pens are designed in China, and I can assure you that the way you hold the pen is not how they would hold them. If you hold it correctly (brand name at the space between thumb and fore finger), it'll be less scratchy.
