2020 SANTACRUZ HECKLER CC Down the Kersbrook Trails SA

I got out to Kersbrook today for some laps and was lucky enough to get a ride on this Santacruz Heckler CC (E-bike). At 21kg with killer geo, it handles as well as you could imagine. I had a lot of fun sending it.
A big thankyou to the owner of this sled, you guys are doing excellent work out there and your bike is fkn ridiculous!

I'm jealous. Looked like a mad day to be out there. The builders are absolute top blokes.
Dave even helped get me out after my stack and got my bike back to me.
I just dunno how to thank em all for their hard work. I feel bad when i accidentally lock it up for an instant.
They need a gofundme page or something. $ to hire some equipment could go a long way.

Mate, this is a great video. Thanks for sharing. Gutted the sa border won't be opening. Was going to come home for a month on Monday.
Was all set up for a few weeks of either ebiking the hills or loaning the ebike to mates who don't get out much anymore so they could motorpace me on the hardtail.
Assegai rear tyres on Ebikes are a thing. One of the best 2.5 options. Lots of rubber to get through.

Allegedly/counter intuitively: ebike forks are generally supposed to be setup softer at the start of the travel because ebikers generally tend to spend more time seated, which mean theres less weight on them.
Guess that's a self shuttling thing.
I make a point of using the motor to help me spend extra time out of the saddle for a full body workout so i guess that setup rule doesn't apply to me.

Man you flow and hook that up so awesome. I wish I could do that at 1/3rd the pace. Just been out to Eagles for a few hours today and I feel so slow and not confident. Getting better but I just don't trust myself! Bikes not my issue with a 2020 Turbo Levo Expert Carbon that's well setup for now (well it feels so, would love someone who knows what they are doing with suspension to set it up for me). If you want to take that for a ride and do it, let me know :)

Technically its more eco friendly to ride the ebike back up instead of a shuttle car :) Although a group of people in 1 vehicle is pretty good.

I demoed a Heckler, I can't say it felt $5k better than the Norco Sight VLT 27.5, but I've not been riding for long.
