Getting sober was the best thing I ever did for myself and my family, I was bad, and I wouldn't face it. Now being sober 4 years I'm a totally different person. People will not recognize me or they will say, damn you look good, 😊. It feels great to live now realizing how wrong I was.

He speaks the truth. You may not like what you're hearing from the Old Timers but if you keep showing up, you end up being grateful yourself.

I hope he gets the help he needs and doesn’t give up before the miracle happens.

One of the main stages of quitting your addiction is going through being mad at everything, everyone and MAINLY yourself. Like how have I become this person!!? So when Ben affleck was saying that he was mad at the old man for being grateful was the reflection of how we was feeling at THAT “stage” point. Like how is he grateful for fucking his life up!! Because thats the main trauma that Ben a fleck was trying to overcome at that time. Sobriety is hard and we can beat. As long as we recognize the problem and continue a step forward away from it. It’s a good path, go on your pace.

I stopped drinking four years ago for no reason. I like that I didn't spend thousands of dollars but I don't look better or feel better or have fewer problems or less serious problems.

Everyone has issues and vices addictions it just depends on how much you want to change or love yourself no matter what it's all choices and especially what company you keep if you see your friends drinking like fish around you and still trying to bring you into thier games there not your true friends the ones that are won't be drinking infront of you they will be the ones taking you away from that part to go talk outside or take a new adventure there the true friends not the ones drunk dancing on a table lol 😂 I've been there done that it's all up to you to give up or never give up. So in other words never give up.

3 1/2 weeks sober after 30 years drinking heavily almost every day. Wife filed for divorce 2 weeks ago. Living is just now just barely becoming tolerable again. I feel great in the body, BUT still have very much deep-seated guilt and massive self-hatred running through my veins. It’s a daily battle.

He is so about his ego, and just needs to listen and shut up a bit. How can he make it?

Might as well keep on drinking and doing drugs. God could care less if you stopped. does care about your soul. Come to Him...He awaits!!!

Hey Ben: --- active drinking and drugging will maim or kill other people -- it is not the same as other addictions --- far more lethal.
