Incoterms explained in 51 seconds

Incoterms decide who does what when you're importing goods from another country.

There's a bunch of different ones. Here's the common ones. Save this if you plan on freight shipping soon.

Ex Works (EXW) - seller just makes the thing, you pick it up.

Free On Board (FOB) - seller makes the thing, transports it to a port, you arrange pickup from there.

Cost, Insurance, & Freight (CIF) - seller makes the thing, gets it on a boat, plane, train, whatever, pays the insurance and freight too.

Delivered At Place (DAP) - seller makes the thing, ships it to you, doesn't pay the customs.

Delivered Duties Paid (DDP) - seller makes the thing, ships it to you, pays the customs.

Any of these could work for you potentially, just make sure you know what you're responsible for before you sign papers with these mysterious terms.
