They should have kept this version the concept of Claire and Sonya makes much more sense than having Amanda come back from the dead and create and escape room for champions when she wouldn’t even know how to and couldn’t beat the first escape room

First off thank you so much for covering the extended cut! made it so much easier than rewatching the whole movie of the extended cut to make sure I didn't miss any details. Second I loved the tournament of champions and thought it was as good as the original. not sure which I liked more. Third. I think I like the theatrical release better than the extended cut. I liked Amanda coming back and seeing the plane trap at the end which might lead us to more films. The extended cut kinda ruins the overall emersion in my mind of the story with the back and forth between Claire and Henry before going back to Zoey and Ben. Fourth not sure if the age discrepancy makes sense in my mind since Amanda was supposed to be the Mom to Sonya who is the mom to Claire and wife of Henry. Five, I do appreciate the background on Minos though overall. Definitely want more movies. Thanks again for the video!

I can't believe they didn't use this as the theatrical version. this was way better than a fake out death. that just makes all the deaths questionable and almost meaningless. at least in this version we got some backstory on minos, the theatrical version left more questions 😅

This version is a lot better than the theatrical version. I mean Amanda surviving and they make her design the next escape room? These are obviously powerful and wealthy elites who could hire anyone who is more intelligent than Amanda. She didn't even pass the first escape room. But she can design the next escape room with champions who have survived? Come on!! It's more logical to have the creators daughter out smart her father. We also know she has a soft spot for Zoey.

I can't believe there's people saying theatrical version is better. The idea of forcing Amanda to create rooms is fucking stupid. Like, what even makes her qualified to do so? Why do they even need her specifically? And if they saved her from dying, it ruins the overall fear of dying in these movies: now you may never actually know if traps are fakes now. This cut makes more sense. Plus, theatrical version ends on the same exact note than the last one? Minos being all knowing and all powerful for no reason, it just feels like lazy writting.

would have been better if they used the extended cut, but with the theatrical ending, the plane part, an showing that it went even deeper than just Claire an her dad, it was much bigger, which on that scale it would have to be, an that they were just pawns being used too.. also cutting out the amanda part

I watched it on Netflix i think that's the theatrical version where the in ending Zoey is trapped again . Although thanks for covering this part . Also I loved the theatrical ending that makes it more interesting.

The movie was fine I was just a little perplexed that the theme music didn't live up to the nostalgic soundtrack from the first movie with the likes of a title such as the invitation.,

I can’t believe people are saying this version is better than the theatrical version.. I’ll give you some reasons they think this and I’ll tell you how it’s wrong. 1. “It makes more sense.” In all honesty, it doesn’t and this isn’t an opinion, it’s factual. Sonya is meant to be Amanda’s child, ‘little girl’. Sonya is way too old to be Amanda’s child. There’s no logic there. And even if Sonya WAS Amanda’s daughter, Amanda would be much older and Ben and Zoey would of aged also. 2. “The faked deaths were not needed, unnecessary.” This does not make sense to me. (This is not factual but rather opinion :) ) The faked deaths perfectly help support the mind games being played on Zoey, who already speculates that everything is a clue (said in the therapy scene) and the faked deaths allow what Rachael said to sink in; “You can’t outthink Minos”I can’t believe people are saying this version is better than the theatrical version..
