Guess this explains why Isabelle was credited for the film and people had no idea where lmao I remember people theorizing she was the voice for the train room! I myself saw the movie and kept thinking “where’s that orphan girl?!” Lmao

I'm interested in the sequel even more because this actress was cast. I thought she would be in the airplane scene but now I know, and this proves it unless I missed a post credit scene with her in it. She was cut from the film. My theory, he's got her locked up because she's obviously creating the games. She's a genius working for psychos, sociopath's and the wealthy. Damn shame there isn't more with her. I haven't watched the extended cut, not yet.

The fact that the actress Claire also was the one who portrayed as Esther in the movie a Orphan who is also a psychopath and then this 😅 She still looks so scary to me

every time i watch an escape room like movie i often think about how different people act in stressful situations. good movie to see, hope there will be more escape rooms. longing to see this movie!

I can't believe I actually watched the "alternate version"

I watched the one with the extended cut and lovvvveed the twist ! Then I rewatched the movie on Netflix waiting for the big twist and didn’t see it. Thought I was imagining a movie in my head coz I was looking for this part ! The extended version was definitely definitely better and opened up to any sequel more interesting where we actually know who is behind it all

I prefer this ending over the theatrical one cause it reveals so many things. So to sum it up, the digital version is one where Claire is the true mastermind while the theatrical one has Amanda be the maker of the games.
Imo, it doesn't make sense for Amanda to be a game master. I mean she was a war veteran, did she have time to study systems and programming knowledge? I'd rather believe in the plot that Claire was the most intelligent offspring that Henry and Sonya had.
In hindsight, the digital storyline revealed these things: 1. At the beginning of the film, the actual reason why Sonya wanted to take Claire away was because she feared for her daughter's mentality.
2. Her father really wanted to embrace Claire's brilliant and messed-up mind.
3. Zoey is truly the only person who survived the games (Ben would've died if Zoey didn't interfere) and the "champions" - Theo, Nathan, Brianna, and Rachel were winners because of the wealthy people wanted an encore so after Ben and Zoey won, all succeeding games had at least one winner. This explains the games now having winners whereas before in the first film, Danny said there was no winner for Minos' games yet. It also reveals that these winners/champions just won recently in the 6 month period.
*though I don't get why Zoey wasn't able to know of these events from happening.

As for the theatrical plotline (Amanda storyline, the one people find first in the Wiki page), reviving Amanda is an ehh. I feel like she'd be better of dead and as stated as before, it didn't really make sense for a war veteran to suddenly be an expert in designing death traps. The plane sequence was nice though at the end, and the final showdown was way more badass here than in the digital version.

I watched the original and I remembered this ending, but when watching the Netflix release the ending was different. It played with my mind for 24hrs that I had to search and see if I was having some type of Mandela affect💀😳.

I know it happens in Hollywood a lot where actors do a movie and sometimes their scenes get cut out. But if Isabelle returns to act in the next escape room if I was her I'd ask for a HUGE paycheck just in case!! 💰 💵 😁

That's why I always buy the physical DVD/Blu-ray.
(Didn't get this scene in the Prime version I bought. Not even an option to watch it as a bonus. Smh)
