The No. 19 Louisville Cardinals outlasted a tough the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets team 31-19 for their first ACC win of the season. Tyler Shough had a very efficient game, completing 13-19 passes for 288 total yards and 2 touchdowns while Ja'Corey Brooks caught 4 of those passes for 125 yards and a very impressive touchdown catch that he made despite being interfered with. Haynes King once again played well for Tech, finishing with 370 total yards and a rushing score in the loss.

Congrats to the Cardinals on a solid win! They made some key stops on defense and the blocked field goal that was returned for a touchdown was really exciting.

The offense had some nice moments too, but penalties played a big role in them stalling on a couple of their drives. Louisville's crowd got extremely loud and had their team's back. Letting Singleton get behind them on the deep ball just before the half was a big mistake, but they also had some clutch moments on that side of the ball.

As for Georgia Tech, I was surprised by the play of their offensive line. That was supposed to be a good group, yet in both of their conference losses, they didn't run block well.

Tech's decision to field a punt around the five was bad and I thought their coaching was questionable at times. Given the speed of Haynes I'm surprised they didn't try more toss sweeps and more outside runs in general instead of running their backs up the gut. Anyway, I know yesterday was a frustrating loss for the Cardinals, but the win over Tech was nice.
