You can make mistakes when buying a dishwasher and you really don't need to because there are a lot of good brands and models you can buy.

Here are the three biggest mistakes we have seen others make.

First relates to the myth of quietness. At a certain level, you are spending more than you should for an extra quiet dishwasher. In this video, You will learn how to buy a quiet dishwasher without overspending.

Second is only looking at Miele, Bosch and KitchenAid brands when another brand may suit you better.

Third panelizing a dishwasher with a custom front is also an issue with many dishwashers. If you are going to panel, then you want it to look good. I will show you how

We did purchase the GE Profile dishwasher you mentioned in this video and so far we’ve been very happy with the results. I did originally want a Bosch but finding one in our area was very hard to do. So we went with the Profile.

Ge dishwashers have a manual clean filter, and a grinding blade AFTER water travels through said filter. The grinding blade is attached to the pump impeller, and as far as I can tell serves no purpose other then marketing. Not sure why you are claiming they don’t have filters?

My dishwasher is 41db and I can hear it. I can hear it even in a bedroom behind the closed door. So your statement that anything below 44db is not really detectable is not quite true. A perception of noise inside depends on the amount of outside noise. If its quiet outside, anything inside will be perceived as loud. I would pay extra to have a bit more quiet machine. A desire to have more comfort at home should not be considered a mistake🙃.

A bought an LG. It is garbage and doesn't wash very well. . Don't ever buy one.
