despite the fact most people didn't like this movie, I can't help it. It's a guilty pleasure. and still gives a lot of fun. Plus, Herbie is still such a.. cute.. character. if it makes sense.

shame Lindsay went crazy with a lot of stuff. she was really sweet and beautiful.

This movie was excellent! they made herbie look so cool with Nascar race tires here. Had all good actors too

Some trivia: (thanks for posting this scene as well, though I would have preferred it if you had uploaded the entire NASCAR race scene as one video) Casey Mear's #41 Target Dodge can be seen at the beginning, Kevin Harvick's #29 GM Goodwrench Chevrolet can be seen at 1:19, and at 1:25 Jamie McMurray's #42 Havoline Dodge can be seen in the background. In addition, various team's pit crew members and pit boxes can also be seen.

Anyone have any idea about some of the instrumentals that play during this entire sequence? (not just this particular scene, from when they arrive at the track to when they win) Haven't been able to locate them, Youtube hasn't identified them, and they're not listed on any sites or in any OST playlists from what I can see. I'm left to assume they were composed by Disney specifically for this movie and chances are were never released for whatever reason. Some examples are the theme heard as Herbie is rolled out of the transporter, the theme you hear right at the beginning of this scene, and the "drums" theme heard when everyone's getting ready to race. If someone could give me a clue or two about them that'd be great, thanks.

P.S. Little bit of trivia: David Robidoux's "Thunder", the theme song of NASCAR, is listed in the official soundtrack for this movie, as is a remix of it called "Herbie VS NASCAR", but neither is actually heard in the movie. I'm assuming due to legal issues Disney ended up not being able to use either in the final film.
EDIT: Apparently the tracks you can't find in the official albums were composed by a fellow named "Mark Mothersbaugh", still can't find anything on the tracks he composed though.
