I really hope the variety on items, upgrades and enemies is getting big. Most games like this are fun the first 4 hours until you start to get repeats over and over again. Fingers crossed they get it right because the gameplay itself looks promising

The description for the Pied Piper tells you that the rats die after making 3 attacks. I don't think the AOE or monster attacks were killing them at all.

Based on the visual style, I was wondering if this was by the studio that made Curse of the Dead Gods. Then as soon as the gameplay started, yes, yes it is.

The rats don't seem to take damage. They just die from their effect. Which is: attack 3 times, then die.

I love Curse of the Dead Gods. I think the boss fights and pacing of combat was done so well. I won't play this in early access but I will definitely play on release. The pacing of combat looks solid in this one too.

23:40 "Rats Off To Ya" is an arcane reference to a magical fantasy series called Tom Goes To The Mayor - its better than Lord of the Rings and the fact Splattercat knows that show is why he deserves yours and mine subscriptions

Oddly enough, Crispin Glover has steadily acted in film nearly every year since Willard only taking a break to act in as a regular in American Gods. Reading up on his life and the books he's written and what he's done is a ride. It feels like his life is just an absurdist humorist joke that we all don't really get, but he's still chugging along :)

And fun side note, since this game has Beowulf as a character: In the 2007 film Beowulf, Crispin Glover was the body talent for Grendal. Yeah. What a weird linkup.

The Crispin Glover Willard was a remake/reboot of an older movie of the same name, there was even a sequel. As far as Glover goes the most recent thing i can think of of the top of my head is hot tub time machone but i know he has been in something more recently. Great actor

This is how I can tell I'm somewhat older than Splatty. When he brings up 'Willard', I think Bruce Davison. Game is interesting, though, no doubt there whatever your demographic.

If you want to increase rat accuracy, just throw French fries at what you want them to attack. I promise you they will make a beeline straight for it.

The rats being susceptible to AoE is probably the reason their command is related to a ground click that way you can move them out of it. Pretty well thought out game design.

This is the game I wanted when playing a hero survivor Warcraft 3 mod and I’m all for it.

Great vid side note about tribes of Midgard my main issue with enjoying it was that there was a point where you hit forever night making the whole free roam exploration harder and somewhat impossible in a solo game
Really looking forward to this game though
