This video discusses the periodic table for new learners of chemistry particularly chemistry of class 9 in Pakistan. It focuses the core concepts discussed in 9th Chemistry BISE Textbook. It introduces the periodic table and elaborates the classification of elements into metals, non-metals and metalloids etc. Then concept of Groups and Periods in periodic table is discussed i.e. Vertical columns in the periodic table are Groups and horizontal rows are named as Periods. Names of different groups and naming conventions are discussed. Then there is something special that is often missed in textbooks i.e. clear concept about structure of an atom and its correlation with position in periodic table. This lets the student grasp the core concept required to build the foundation for understanding chemistry in higher classes.
