I first heard this song 27 years ago upon its release but never imagined it eould one day save my life. Eleven years ago today i made a decision that would save my life, my marriage and my daughters respect, i got clean from a serious pain pill addiction thst was slowly killing me. I onky took thr pills due to a serious accident i had off roading in my jeep never intended to become addicted but i did. This song is what made me call for help and today im clean im hapoily married raising our five girls in the beach house i grew up in😁🏄👍❤️. Lifes not perfect but im clean i can think straight i owe it to a simple song with simple lyrics that made me realize if im gonna beat this i have to do the work. Its amazing how many of us PJ fans can say this song saved our asses but its true. Ive met eddie and have had couplr conversations with him and i got to personally thsnk him for this song that has touched so many of us. Once again thsnk you Ed for writing this simple song with simple lyrics with such deep deep meaning👍❤️🏄. 11 years, wow what a fucking trip😁👍. To all pearl jam fans i love you all, meaningfully ❤️👍
