Firewood & Fishing Lines | Alaska Log Cabin

Another trip to Byers Lake Cabin does not disappoint. We cut, haul and split firewood and set our fishing lines with hopes of Burbot. With the wood stove burning hot and our bellies full, life is good in Alaska.

Enjoyed your post! I appreciate how well you take care of your senior canine family member! I’m sure he appreciates the extra care you give to him on these cold adventures. Being a retired senior myself, I can attest that the cold is more of a bother than it was 40 years ago when I worked on the North Slope. Nowadays I much prefer to enjoy the beautiful snowy vistas from the warm side of a cabin window with a mug of something warm in my hands. Thanks again for sharing your lives with us.
