Welcome to HotStats, the global leader in hotel profitability benchmarking.

HotStats is a comprehensive benchmarking tool that allows you to compare your hotel’s data versus your competitors, offering more than 500 key performance indicators covering departmental revenue and expense—the full operational P&L!

Now, the HotStats user experience has been upgraded with the launch of a new reporting platform, which offers more sections, more features, more functionality.

Customization is key: By selecting the dataset dropdown, you can choose the comp set and time period you want to view.

The website consists of four primary sections: Standard Reporting, Corporate Reporting, Operating Statement Reports and Tools. The first section, Standard Reporting, includes the dashboard and KPI report, which provide a summary overview of your hotel’s operation and also allows you to tailor the user experience, with the ability to create a set report of only the KPIs you want to track.

Visualization is another benefit. By clicking on any KPI, you have the option to choose between seasonal and moving average total graphs, nominal mapping and a glossary of terms.

Moreover, the dashboard provides a graphical display of each KPI, comparing your data against the comp set.

The Corporate Reporting section features a Competitive Report and Growth Report, which afford customized reporting across the comp sets and KPIs you want to compare. The Competitive Report provides an index comparison, while the Growth Report displays the year-over-year variance for each KPI.

The Operating Statement Report section is the core of the new reporting platform. Here, users dive further into departmental details, accessing information on revenue, cost of sales, labor costs and other expenses.

Note: For any KPI you select, you can toggle between different ratios, from PAR and POR and all the way into efficiency ratios.

You can access further functionality when clicking on the name of a KPI, which opens up the seasonal and moving average total graphs, nominal mapping and glossary of terms.

The final section, Tools, includes the Glossary and Nominal Mappings, which is a searchable listing of every account for your company and how it is mapped in HotStats.

The Glossary of Terms is an easy-to-use searchable function that includes the definitions of every KPI on the reporting platform.
