Babel OFFICIAL FULLDOME Trailer for (Macon Film Fest)

Babel is an animated short film that, through the surreal and the symbolic, explores technology communication devices and isolation that these generate in people.

Technology advances and communication regresses. A paradox of our era.
The technological avalanche, the planned obsolescence, that hidden expiration that the new devices hide in their genetics, and the wild promotion of a consumerism that we already have inoculated under our skin makes the perfect storm possible of isolation. Now you have to be quick, even if it’s to say nothing and add some laughs or emoticons to a conversation. Through these screens we lose ourselves by seeing the other, by seeing their real gestures, by knowing each other with our eyes or by knowing how to read their body gestures to understand what they really tell us.
What if technology separates us? What if the promise of connection disconnects us? . What if the approach that ensures technology is an illusion?
We are like misanthropes who spend too much time trying to understand the technology and very little time discovering the human being. This is the kickoff of the animated story Babel, that biblical allegory that tells us how thousands of humans tried to create a tower that reached the sky and were punished by God, making communication between them incomprehensible, causing the Tower to never be finished. .. beings isolated by this inability to understand. If isolation can be considered one of the most entrenched and poisonous evils of this age, communication devices have entered the scene under the banner of being their perfect antidote.

But do they manage to cover that void or do they deepen this abyss?
