Also Bose makes really impressive professional products, my Church has huge Bose line array that's probably 10ft tall that sounds incredible with just the priest talking over it. When I went to my bothers Church that had outdoor speakers mounted to the sidewalls all the way down the church I found the Priest very difficult to understand.

My wife bought me a pair of 401s about 30 years ago. Not what I would've chosen but she chose them because our room was a difficult shape for a clear stereo image and she'd been advised that the reflections would help or mask that problem. Well, they didn't really. Then again, in that room, they sounded better than the AR4s I had, (those are still lovely speakers in the right room). They weren't cheap, they weren't furniture and they weren't perfect but they still sound pretty good when placed well in a decent room. The objective information in this video is good and the assessment of Bose is accurate, particularly given their current business model.

My boys play guitars, drums & bass. Bose is far more popular than I would have thought for their PA speakers. They look like toys in comparison to Yorkville or the JBL that I prefer. For the home, my wife likes the few Sonos speakers that we have for the simplicity.

Do people even buy Bose products for their home anymore? their headphones and Bluetooth speakers are what people are buying from them now days, Sonos has completely taken over that casual home audio market that Bose used to rule in the 1990s - 2000s.
