Robin Cousins performs a solo routine for the first time in twelve years on Dancing on Ice goes Gold.

I admire many skaters from all eras, but for me Robin Cousins is simply the greatest figure skater of all time. His programs from ‘75-‘85 are untouchable even today. It’s quite special to see him skate at this stage in his life. That almost superhuman quality is still there.

I just love that the moment he started moving, his style was instantly recognizably him. Whatever he's faced with injuries and aging, he's still got it.

I love Robin. He's had at least 9 knee surgeries; he had double knee replacements before his Olympic win.
His footwork is impeccable though.

Thank you so much for uploading this and so quickly. I was incredibly lucky to be in the studio the night this was filmed but whether live or on TV/YouTube, it is a truly magical performance to watch. I just hope we don't have to wait another 12 years to see Robin back on the ice!

Robin would wipe the floor with any/all contestants! Jayne said the other day though that she hopes they might be able to do more specials like this so maybe he could just skate in the specials :) Annoying that YouTube have blocked your video of J&C's routine. That was also fab as always.

Thanks for uploading this, was amazing to see Robin in all his glory, he was fantastic. Does anyone know where I could watch the whole show? I live in Ireland and it doesn't seem to be on catchup.
