Made in Mexico jazz basses are great, I love that they have a sound reminiscent of the 60s-70s jazz basses. It's very interesting because Mexico has a long history of skilled guitar craftsmen and I believe it really shows in the fender MIM models

I always liked your Jazz bass! And I'm very happy to see more love for MIM Fenders! My main axe is a MIM P that has been with me since my learning days and I wouldn't trade it for anything. What's left stock on it is wood pots and 3 tuning machines tho..

I'd love to see another Let's Talk Gear where you go through a list of all the basses you've bought, played, sold or traded over time & maybe like a pros/cons for each of those basses.

The finish on that bass is really really awesome man. I'd really like to see one of these about your recording process, maybe from the bass to mixing and stuff, what do you do and how do you do it.

It's awesome when you find a keeper! I buy and sell a ton of gear too. My bass keeper I will never, ever sell is also a MIM Fender Jazz. Nothing special, It's a 93 that I picked up in a little local music shop for $280. Has lots of little dings and scratches and I was trying to find something newer, but I kept coming back to it. It just had that mojo and it's one of the lightest basses I've ever played with a fast neck. Just one of those that begs to be played and makes me feel I can play anything. Gotta love when you find those rare ones!

You know, I’ve been pretty on the fence on getting either a Fender P or getting a MIM J bass. But you have definitely swayed my opinion on it especially with your play through of it. Did you put the pickups in after the fact or were they on there when you bought it?

Hi Patrick, I discovered your channel a few weeks ago and just got the
chance to delve in. Great stuff!!! I love your style and that bass fits
you perfectly. So you bought it modded like that? Man, what a keeper!

That is such a sick looking bass, I love my MiM Jazzer, the one you persuaded my dad to buy with your video XD, it's the default black with the black pick guard.

I actually watched one od your old videos because of your bass color 👍🎸🎸🎸🎸, I've seen a P Bass in that color but not a Jazz. Also your bass does produce a really good jazz tone actually one of the best I've heard so far. Saw a clip on this video of your band, so you actually have videos of your band up.

My 01 jazz bass has never let me down. Changed the bridge to a vintage flathead style for easy action change. Love how thin the old mim finishes are, almost like nitro

I have had mine for over 15 years. MiM Jazz bass with graphite nut, original BA bridge and EMG PU's and preamp with 9v batt and strap locks. Played on nearly every gig I've done since I got it. I just wish they offered more of the cool colors in lefty. You righties have all the luck.

Yeah, this is definitely my favourite bass or yours, Patrick. It's a killer example of a Jazz set up to do the gritty grind. My other choice would be the Gibson Ripper. So jelly you have that 😆

I'd love to see more of this style video. I too have a sage metallic MIM J bass. It's actually how I originally found your channel.

Glad I found your channel, very interesting, informative, and entertaining!👍 Those strings look thick to be a "BEAD" set, or am I just imagining things? Thanks again!
