This song has always meant a lot to me because we introduced this song to my grandfather a long time ago and he said he did not like it but when he died i went through his old playlist and this song was on it.

my grandpa always played this song when he was picking me up from elementary school however long ago. Played it so much i got sick of it, even listening to it made me feel like i was in the back of his toaster car in 97 degree weather.

2:15am yesterday he passed away and because of covid restrictions i couldn’t see him then nor the previous 3-ish weeks he was in the hospital when doctors were still sure he’d make it. I didn’t get to say goodbye or that i love him in person. So here i am, binging all of his favorite songs.

I still can’t believe it’s all real. And right this minute i think i’d give anything to be back in his car on the too hot summer days. I love you so much grandpa. I’m sorry i didn’t say it more❤️❤️

It’s incredible how we actually heard Groot say “I love you guys” at the end, because at the beginning of the series, the Guardians couldn’t understand Groot, but the more time they spent around him, the more they could understand him. And now we can too.
