The GoXLR seems cool, but I just don't want more crap on my desk. I had my Scarlet Solo on it, but I ended up stuffing it in with all my cables behind the desk. Maybe with the stand I could find some unique placement for the GoXLR that isn't that obtrusive.

I bought the go xlr and the desk stand along with it. I bought my desk stand from Adorama. It took about 3-4 weeks for it to arrive. Definitely two of the best purchases I’ve made for my streaming setup.

I LITERALLY searched your channel last night for something like this - excellent timing! I am considering getting a GoXLR to replace my FocusRite but I have a GSX1000 I would like to continue to use. I suspect I chain them like so:

One thing that I learned - someone may have already pointed this out - is that you can run your mic through the line out to your gaming PC for in-game chat while keeping the GoXLR on your streaming PC.

For the RTX voice you can use it for chat mic (and then remove it from Broadcast stream mix and add rtx voice into OBS) issue is you won't have full control over it via the goxlr since it woudn't be tied to the faders (ie mute modes won't work)

The main reason to have the GoXLR on the gaming PC is to have a fader used to reduce the sound coming from the stream PC to my headphones while maintaing louder volume for the stream. Allows better focus during competitive gameplay while playing music/alerts loud for the stream.

Now, though, there's a new reason to run it on the stream PC for running RTX Voice on streaming PC to avoid the performance impact since using it on the broadcast stream mix will include other audio sources and cancel out any non-mic source from the mix.

Have you used the Mackie Big Knob Studio? That's what I've been using for about a year or two now. I liked it because it had a DAC/AMP combo that isn't just passable for an interface, it performed almost identically to my schitt stack combo at the time. And It had monitor control which is something I wanted because I hate digital control.

I've been debating upgrading or updating recently because the one area it falls "short" are in the Onyx preamps. They aren't bad obviously, but there is some definite noise at the top end. I am debating between replacing the interface with something more powerful or just pre-amping before I hit the Onyx preamps. I wish there was something like the GOXLR with all the features of my Big Knob.
