in his interviews he talked about spending months on learning how play all of the music he talked about wanting the presentation in the movie to feel authentic so he literally learned the music.

I like how when he's doing the more complicated playing, they do close-up shots of the hands, and you can tell that a much older person's hands are playing the strings (that's Kaki King, who was almost 30 at the time). Those shots and brief and only done when the hands are moving quickly, but you can still see a pair of adult hands where you were expecting to see a kid's hands.

This is a great way to inspire our children to learn to believe in themselves and their talents and abilities! Great music throughout the movie.

This movie is just Wow!!! I love theses actors, especially Freddie Highmore and Robin Williams ( RIP). It brings tears to my eyes because music inspires me everyday and bring me joy.

love this movie. i play guitar and watched this by accident one day and absolutely fell in love. the writer and stand in for a lot of the music is an indi girl named kaki king. good stuff.

I just randomly remembered a scene from a movie when I was younger about a boy beating a guitar laying flat on the ground. I remember it being like Oliver Twist. Lo and behold I looked up “modern Oliver Twist, guitar.” And I found it!

I remember this scene it was the first time to me to see this playstyle! I remember when i hold a Ukulele for the first time in my life i was so surprised! Because i can't hold a ukulele or guitar like everybody and i was thinking to this scene so i start to play like in the movie. But i really tought this play style is only for the technical player & percussive style. And i saw a video from Jeff Healey that change all my life. But this scene i could'nt forget, This is why i've been a Ukulele player now.
