The main thing about BMO is the humanity in his voice, although it doesn't sound like a specific gender or species, you can always understand the tone that BMO is speaking in, and even when he has likely committed mass accounts of crimes, BMO always has that aura of "friendly robot that is there to help and is happy to be there!".

this is one of the most disturbingly real feeling deaths in anything ive seen. while we cant ever really be sure what its like but the way their sense of time and reality falls apart while they get out a few final thoughts in an attempt to comfort themselves feels so chillingly plausible

(also i know they do live but if they were not found and repaired they would have been dead forever)
