Linda Ronstadt was an excellent performer of country music. "I Fall to Pieces" written by Hank Cochran and Harlan Howard, first recorded by Patsy Cline in 1961, was recorded by Linda Ronstadt as a live performance at The Troubadour nightclub in West Hollywood, California in March of 1971, accompanied by Glenn Frey – guitar, background vocals, Don Henley - drums, background vocals, Richard Bowden – guitar, Michael Bowden – bass, Sneaky Pete Kleinow – pedal steel guitar, "Gib" Guilbeau, - fiddle, and John Boylan – guitar. The track was included on Linda Ronstadt, her third solo album, released in January, 1972 on the Capitol Records label, available on CD on Capitol. Another live version of "I Fall to Pieces" can be found on Linda’s album, Live at the Record Plant, Sausalito, CA, November 18, 1973. she's one of the very best reasons that growing up in the 60's and 70's was so amazing. Unreal talent and so very beautiful.

Willie Nelson said "There are two types of men in this world; those who have a crush on Linda Ronstadt and those who have never heard of her"

What is it with folks who think she isn’t beautiful as she has aged. Still a beauty inside and out.

The very best female vocalist ever since music was recorded. She had been given the gift of a gorgeous voice and lost it to grievous disease. The disease deprived all of us of a beautiful and talented singer🎉🎉Linda, refused to let the disease determine her fate. She fought back and continued to show her resolve and talent in other ways.
Thank you for making the last 50 plus years filled with your beautiful voice.

Only singer, male or female, to simultaneously chart songs in the top 5 on the Billboard 100 in both the pop and country categories.

I remember when this song was current on the radio. I became a Linda fan in Aug 1970 (she was "newly" solo) when she appeared at the Greek Theatre in L.A. as one of several acts; I didn't know who she was until then. Her opening song made me an instant fan, and the next day I went out to buy her Hand Sewn Home Grown and Silk Purse albums, as "Long Long Time" was getting airplay. She frequently performed at The Palomino Club in North Hollywood, until she became too popular for so small/insignificant a venue. It quickly went from $3 cover charge for The Palomino Club's intimate stage, to $75 concert tickets at Universal Amphitheater and other venues. How fortunate that she lived for many years in CA and her appearances were easily attended by us... what a blessing!

Linda Ronstadt mastered folk, pop, country, country rock, rock, big band, opera, latin balads, Mexican mariachi, and other genres.
Linda Ronstadt sang beautifully in about a dozen different genres and did extremely well.
No other single individual, male or female singer has done near half of what linda R. Has done.
Undoubtedly Linda Ronstadt has done way more than any female singer has done- before, during nor after she had given us the privilege and pleasure to enjoy her angelical and beautiful powerful voice.

I had the privilege and pleasure of being at this Troubadour show. I lived in LA then and was a huge Ronstadt fan. She played LA a lot and I went to many of her shows. If you read the liner notes above you see that she was being backed by 3 guys who soon became known as the Eagles. Imagine having the Eagles as your back up band. Listening and watching Linda sing these great songs with a voice comparable to angels was one of my great joys in life. Linda's voice and her ability to get inside a song and make it come to life is unexcelled. And it didn't hurt that in those days, she was sexy as hell. Although her singing career was cut short by her disease, her immense contribution to the American songbook remains legendary.

I could not agree more. Yes I'm an aging boomer but I haven't heard any music that touches the 60s and 70s so much power in this tiny woman's voice.

What has happened to miss Linda is truly a sin. Her singing voice was a gift from God Linda had a singing range like no other and not being able to see or hear her sing live anymore is an all time low. I still wish her every happiness and May her memories always remind her of how wonderful she was and loved as an artist
