Stunning that AWS felt this was a good approach to solving the access problem. I guess it checks all the boxes: makes it more complicated... check. Provides more confusion to the end user... check. Ensures that the end user will waste a lot more time, and cost more spend on AWS resources while trying to follow along... check.
