For PS4 ( if you use mouse and keyboard on your console) go to Devices and click external keyboard and make key repeat delay short and Key repeat (rate) fast

also disable pre edit causes input delay too i turned it off on my low end laptop and i could do a full edit course

You forgot about the switch mode in keybinds if you set it to a random key you dont use like you would on console you get less delay.
