Kolkata Police 'deny' allegations of ruling doctor's death at RG Kar medical college as 'suicide'

Kolkata: Kolkata Police Deputy Commissioner Indira Mukherjee has denied media reports suggesting that the death at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital was ruled a suicide by police. She stated that audio clips circulated by media outlets do not reflect any official comments from Kolkata Police. Indira Mukherjee, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Central Division, Kolkata Police said, "We heard some audio clips that were rolled by many channels. No such comments have been made by Kolkata Police. We never said that it was a suicide."

The truth is in plain sight people. It’s obvious that a much bigger scandal is involved and Seeing all the incidents in RG KAR it’s obvious Her voice was silenced while fighting for us so none of us would’ve been victims of other heinous crimes going on there. Now it’s down to us that our voice isn’t silenced while fighting for her. She was innocent, pure hearted and her death isn’t only a loss to her dreams and her parents but to us as a society. Just read the articles, she charged only 250 rupees for consultation and waved off fees for poor. She wanted to help people and serve them for the good of us and not for money or power. Today if she doesn’t get justice it’s not only a failure of us as a society, as the people of Bengal, as the people of India but as a society of humans who are working our hardest to make a better life for ourselves. If this case isn’t brought to justice then tomorrow worse things would happen and those who commit such atrocities would be even more confident knowing justice will never be served. Dr Didi lost her life, her parents lost their daughter, their only daughter and now we are the only support for them, we can’t let them down. Keep raising your voice, keep up the peaceful protests it’s our right it’s even written in the constitution it’s a fight for our future, it’s a struggle for our rights. We cannot let those ruling parties call it “our Bengal” during elections and votes and then call it “my Bengal” during such situations. Bengal is all of ours, it’s our birthright. Do not let us become a cycle of voices silenced, injustice and fractured justice, break the cycle let justice prevail. Dr didi deserved so much better, let her death not go in vain, let it become waves of justice. Remember she fought for us alone, the least we can do is fight for her together.
